### Exciting Opportunity for Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
**Job Description:**

- **Certifications Required:**
- ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- BLS
- NRP
- **Preferred Certifications:**
- AWHONN Advanced
- **Preferred Skills:**
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Care
- Labor and Delivery Management
- Medication & Administration
- Neonatal Care in Delivery Room
#### Responsibilities Include:
- **Labor and Delivery Management:**
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries
- Circulate for C-sections
- Perform sterile vaginal exams
- Manage hemorrhage/shock recovery
- **Neonatal Care:**
- Assess APGAR scores and identify neonates
- Conduct resuscitation and maintain thermoregulation
- Perform discharge teaching for new parents
- **Antepartum and Postpartum Care:**
- Assist with amniocentesis and sterile speculum exams
- Provide support for breastfeeding and emotional wellness
- Care for patients with various conditions (e.g., diabetes, placenta previa)
- **Pain Management:**
- Administer anesthesia options such as epidurals and opioids

- **Float Required:** Yes (Post Partum)
- **Call Required:** Yes
- **Weekly Weekend Shift Requirements:** Based on unit's needs
- **Pre-Approved Time Off:** 1 Request
