As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct physical therapy interventions under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your compassion and expertise will help relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing for residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities.
Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients
Ensure all treatment is delivered following an established plan of care
Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
Monitor patient response to treatment interventions
Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations
Qualifications:
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs
Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist
Empathy and patience when working with patients
Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises
