Opportunity:
ICU/STICU Travel Nurse Position
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• 2:1 patient ratio typical, with 1:1 ratio for higher acuity patients
• Care for neuro patients with brain herniation and "brain drains"
• Manage ortho trauma patients requiring traction
• Handle cardiovascular devices including balloon pumps, impellas, and ekos
• Care for post-operative open-heart CABG patients
• Manage open abdomen patients from OR that may require bedside re-opening
• Work with specialized equipment including upcoming ECMO program
• Run CRRT at bedside for renal patients
• Chart using MEDITECH system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must have ICU or STICU experience in level 1-2 trauma centers
• Strict 75-mile radius restriction applies
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• May also care for Medical ICU patients when bed capacity requires
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a specialized 20-bed ICU unit that handles high-acuity patients requiring complex medical interventions. The facility serves as a trauma center providing advanced care for neurological, orthopedic trauma, and cardiovascular patients. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and is expanding services to include an ECMO program. The facility maintains high standards of care and specializes in treating a unique patient population including those requiring renal replacement therapy.
