RN- Weekends - Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit Mercy Hospital Washington Full-Time | 36 hrs/week Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM SIGN-ON BONUSES $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Experienced RNs Incredible Incentives & Benefits: Stay Premium Pay: Earn up to $8/hr extra based on your years of Mercy service Loan Forgiveness: Up to $20,000 for new grad nurses Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $2,000/year Day-One Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance PTO + Vacation Time + ESB (Extended Sick Bank) Employer-Matched Retirement Plan Shift Differentials Weekend Option Bonus: $20/hr for RNs About Our Unit Welcome to our high-energy, fast-paced 30-bed Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. Our diverse patient population includes a broad range of medical and post-operative cases , such as: Orthopedic procedures: knees, hips, shoulders General surgeries: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resections Specialized care: bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, and stable pneumothorax We maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 , supported by highly skilled Patient Care Associates to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery. What truly sets us apart is our exceptional team — a group of professionals known for their: Clinical expertise Unmatched dedication Strong collaboration Empathy and compassion If you’re looking for a unit that values teamwork, continuous learning, and patient-centered care , you’ll find it here. ✅ Qualifications Education & Licensure: Graduate of an accredited RN program Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Must meet all state board of nursing requirements Certifications Required: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire) Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion) Physical Requirements: Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed Why Mercy?
