Opportunity:
Med Surg - RN
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with weekends as scheduled
• Typically work 1/2 of total weekends
• 30-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6/7 (must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7)
• No standby or call requirements
• May be required to float as needed based on census (external travelers float first)
• Must live within 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Use EPIC charting system
• Work with PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) on unit
• One charge RN on floor with assignment
• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results
• Unit has telemetry monitored remotely by monitor techs
• Equipment includes intermittent BIPAP (no ventilators)
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-outs, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• Any licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission
