Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Cross-trained to work in labor and delivery, mother/baby, newborn nursery, and postpartum units
• Must have more than 3 years experience in obstetrics
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Charting systems: TruBridge - Evident, Centricity, and CPSI
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Acute care setting
• Cancellation policy allows for canceling 1 week's worth of guaranteed hours over a 13-week period
• BSN degree not required
• License verification required for submission
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a Level 1 maternity unit providing comprehensive obstetric services. The unit handles approximately 30 deliveries per month and features 6 postpartum rooms and 4 labor and delivery rooms. The facility maintains high standards of care following AWHONN staffing guidelines and ensures all nursing staff are cross-trained across multiple maternal services including labor and delivery, mother/baby, newborn nursery, and postpartum care.
