Opportunity:
Critical Care RN
Job Details:
• Provide critical care nursing for patients with heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress and other severe medical conditions
• Assess patient conditions and develop comprehensive care plans
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
• Assist physicians in performing medical procedures
• Monitor and record patient vital signs
• Ensure proper function of ventilators, monitors and medical equipment
• Adjust ventilators and IABP as needed
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications
• Perform suctioning procedures
• Collaborate with critical care team members
• Respond to life-saving emergency situations using nursing standards and protocols
• Act as patient advocate
• Provide education and support to patient families
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients
• May occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients
• May float between Lander and Riverton campuses depending on facility census
• Must have 2 years recent ICU RN experience in hospital setting
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS/ENPC (TNCC preferred but not required) through American Heart Association
• Must have Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license
