Opportunity:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse position
Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every third weekend requirement (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Every other holiday requirement
• Block scheduling available to some extent for night shifters
• Greater than 3 years of ER experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• BSN degree not required
• Must be able to interpret cardiac strips
• Must be able to titrate drips (Propofol, Cardizem, insulin)
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5
• No required scrub colors
• Charge Nurse may take patient assignments
• Clock in and out at facility required
• 1 day of house wide training and 1-2 days of department orientation
• Low census call on occasion
• No floating requirements
• Willingness to train to House Supervisor is an added bonus
• Must have license to submit
• Cerner charting system used
• Common diagnoses include STEMI, trauma, stroke, COPD, CHF, sepsis
Facility:
This healthcare facility features a 19-bed Emergency Department and Urgent Care unit that provides comprehensive emergency medical services. The facility maintains 24/7 Respiratory Therapy services for ventilator, CPAP, and BiPAP support, with emergency room nurses responsible for interpreting cardiac strips as there are no monitor technicians. The facility operates in an acute care setting and utilizes the Cerner electronic health record system for patient documentation.
