Opportunity:
RN - PCU, Oncology and MedSurg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with self-scheduling available
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 patients on night shifts
• Care for adult patients with oncology and trauma diagnoses
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• 2 days of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ONS/ONCC preferred
• Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience required
• Charge nurse experience minimum 1 year required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Work with chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix medications
• Titrate insulin and cardizem drips occasionally
• Use EPIC charting system and Alaris IV pumps
• Competencies include ventilator care and hemodynamic monitoring
• RTO must be 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract

This healthcare facility operates a 28-bed mixed unit providing progressive care, oncology, and medical-surgical services for adult patients. The facility maintains a Level 1 trauma designation and focuses on comprehensive cancer care from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care. The organization emphasizes teamwork, cultural diversity, and respectful patient care while providing advanced equipment and specialized support staff including PT/OT, case managers, social work, educators, and dietitians.
