Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour shifts, primarily weekends with every other weekend requirement
• ICU nurse to patient ratio of 1:2, IMCU ratio of 1:3
• 24 hours of critical care orientation for ICU, IMCU and CCU
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation during first work week
• May float to other units with union contract stating travelers float before regular staff
• Float to other critical care units first, or med-surg as resource nurse with maximum 3 patients
• Stepdown ratio when floating is 1:3, floor ratio is 1:4 or 1:5 per Oregon law
• No call required unless placed on mandatory standby due to low census
• Never work alone
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience required
• Experience required with post TEA, Triple A and general surgery patient management
• Experience with long term ventilated patients, swan ganz catheters, and vasoactive medication titration
• Required certifications: Oregon license, BLS, ACLS
• Trauma certification required if caring for trauma patients
• Work with ventilators, IV pumps, Level 1 Rapid fluid infuser
• Use Epic EMR for charting
• Standard scrub top and bottoms in any colors
• No artificial unnatural hair colors, visible tattoos, or facial piercings
• 50-mile radius restriction for local candidates
• Non-Oregon licensed RNs eligible for 90-day temporary license
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive critical care department with a 15-bed ICU and 11-bed IMCU that accommodates most medical conditions except cardiac cases. The facility is designated as a Level 2 trauma center and provides acute care services with modern equipment and technology.
