Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• 2 years of hospital experience required, preferably 2 years of ICU experience
• Must have Kentucky or Compact state nursing license at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1 on a 10-bed unit
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Work with equipment including Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Perform telemetry monitoring, assist with paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion, and ventilators
• Skills needed include CPap and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Dress code requires navy or gray scrubs
• Unit utilizes GroupMe for team communication and celebrates staff achievements
• Supported by director, manager, and clinical educator with excellent interdisciplinary collaboration

The unit has a strong reputation for retaining travelers who extend their contracts due to the exceptional team culture and collaboration with providers.
