**Join Our Team as a Travel Med Surg RN – Make a Difference in New Mexico!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Location:** Eastern New Mexico
- **Start Date:** ASAP
- **Duration:** 13 weeks
- **Shift:** Nights, 7 PM to 7:30 AM
- **Scheduling:** Every other weekend required; floating to different units may be necessary.
**Key Requirements:**
- **Experience:** A minimum of 1 year in a Med Surg unit.
- **Certifications:**
- BLS certification needed.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- **Fingerprinting:** All New Mexico travelers must complete fingerprinting (please ensure your agency is registered with the state).
**Responsibilities and Unit Details:**
- **Patient Care:** Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, occasionally 1:7.
- **Unit Size:** Care for patients in a 36-bed unit specializing in general Med Surg, including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery cases.
- **Floating Requirements:** Rarely float to ICU to manage step-down assignments or MS overflow.
- **Scrubs:** Royal Blue
- **EMR Systems Used:** Cerner and Mindray Telemetry System.
**Additional Information:**
- **RTO:** A maximum of 1 week RTO approved but must be specified in the submittal.
- **Scheduling Options:** 48-hour guarantees may be accommodated; block scheduling is negotiable as long as it does not require the same days each week.
