Job Details:
• Work nightshift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends
• Holiday coverage required including one evening and one day shift (Black Friday or Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day)
• Weekend requirements include 3-4 weekend days (Saturday and Sunday), 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays in a 4-week schedule period
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for stepdown patients and 1:5 or 1:6 for floor patients
• Unit has 32 beds total with 22 stepdown beds and 10 floor beds
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, nitro, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
• Care for patients with cardiology conditions, heart failure, cardiac surgery, and general medicine/hospitalist cases
• Cardiac experience preferred along with EPIC experience
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Floating requirements - may be pulled to other units as needed, typically 1 out of 3 shifts
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and trach to vent
• Phillips telemetry monitoring with dedicated telemetry technicians
• Self-scheduling available in Kronos system with flexible block scheduling options
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• BSN not required
• Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission
