Telemetry RN Position
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Rotating weekends required - every other weekend on set rotation (either weekends 1 and 3 or weekends 2 and 4)
• Holiday rotation with core staff based on previous year's schedule
• Cannot guarantee block scheduling
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 on 32-bed telemetry unit
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiopulmonary diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Required to titrate drips including Nitro, Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, and Dopamine
• Med-Surg and Telemetry experience required, Critical Drips experience required, Chemo experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• May be asked to fill Charge Nurse role with cross-training if willing and interested
• Required to float to other Med-Surg units or Emergency Department for boarded patients when not needed on home unit
• Monitor telemetry strips each shift alongside monitor techs and charge nurses
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, sequential compression devices, pulse oximeters, specialty beds, telemetry, CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color only, no embroidery or patterns), closed-toe shoes required, no crocs
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Two 12-hour orientation shifts with preceptor plus general hospital and nursing orientation
