**Exciting Opportunity for ICU & ED Float RN - Days!**
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an ICU & ED Float RN and take your nursing career to the next level! Enjoy a role where you will be both a caregiver and a care manager, working directly with patients to improve their health outcomes while leading and supporting fellow caregivers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough assessments and analyze patient data including physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Implement compassionate and consistent care by following established procedures and care plans.
- Identify patients' learning needs and provide effective patient education.
- Document patient information accurately through electronic medical records and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Advocate for patient and family rights, ensuring equitable care for all individuals.
- Delegate patient care duties and supervise the work of nursing and non-nursing staff.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and use critical thinking to support patient care.
- May lead as Charge Nurse, coordinating staff coverage and assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and certifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a secure environment.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance in line with organizational standards.
**Work Environment:**
- Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
- Report to the Nursing Department Director and other designated supervisory staff.
**Qualifications:**
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Washington State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- At least one year of acute care RN experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management skills.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform tasks for 8 to 12 hours.
- Competence in cardiac arrest response and handling of patients.
- Emotional stability to thrive in high-stress situations.
**Certification Requirements for ICU:**
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months.
**Certification Requirements for Emergency Department:**
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months.
