Opportunity:
High Risk Labor & Delivery Nurse
Job Details:
• 3-5 years of experience required in high acuity and high pace environment
• Must have high risk labor and delivery experience
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required to Post partum/Antepartum and may float to sister facilities for Mother/Baby units
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs
• Must function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to post partum
• Must be able to circulate in operating rooms
• Required to provide newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Experience with heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate administration required
• Must have experience with electronic fetal monitoring
• EPIC electronic medical record system required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must have current supervisory references and proof of required certifications
• Must pass clinical review and provide current Nursys verification
• Average of 16 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a high-volume, high-risk labor and delivery unit with 31 rooms and 4 operating rooms. The facility handles 500-600 deliveries per month with an average daily census of 15 patients. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric services including care for midwifery clients, private OB patients, and operates according to AWHONN guidelines. The facility offers specialized services including Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery and community care clinics.
