Opportunity:
RN - Labor & Delivery
Job Details:
• Work in high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month
• Must have 3-5 years of experience in high acuity and high pace environment
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Required to circulate for C-sections
• Provide newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required to postpartum/antepartum and between sister facilities that do mother/baby care
• Average daily census of 15 patients per day
• Work with 31 rooms and 31 beds
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs
• Must be proficient with EPIC electronic fetal monitoring system
• Handle medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patient populations including midwifery clients, private OBs, and Adult Recovery Services
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
