Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Minimum two years of ER experience with trauma Level I and II accumulative experience in the past two years required
• Epic EMR proficiency required - must have used within last 5 years
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Patient ratios: 1:5 medical, 1:6 for fast track
• Work in 52-bed emergency department with 4 trauma bays treating approximately 200 patients per day
• Must be able to read own telemetry monitoring
• Floating requirements include shared schedule with Foothills facility (15-minute drive)
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
• Holiday requirement: typically 2 of 5 holidays (including eves)
• Modified self-scheduling with varied shift start times
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Orientation includes one NEO, one day clinical/EPIC, and one day on the floor
• No 48-hour guarantees and no blocked scheduling requests
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a Level 3 trauma center that functions like a Level 1 trauma facility, serving as a STEMI and stroke receiving center. The emergency department features 52 beds including 4 trauma bays and 6 fast track beds, with dedicated CT and X-ray services. The facility maintains 24/7 security, respiratory therapy, and varied physician/mid-level coverage including pediatric board-certified providers on shift.
