**Exciting Opportunity for Operating Room Registered Nurse**
**Join Our Dynamic Surgical Team!**
- **Position:** Operating Room RN
- **Specialty:** Operating Room
- **Shift:** Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00)
- **Experience Required:** 2 years OR experience required
- **Charting System:** Epic
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide exceptional nursing care in the Operating Room, supporting various surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Execute the Universal Protocol and maintain infection control standards
- Administer blood & blood products, monitor cardiac status, and manage specimens
**Required Skills and Certifications:**
- Current Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Preferred Certification: CNOR
- Strong skills in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries
- Excellent wound management, anesthesia care, and patient advocacy skills
**Preferred Surgical Skills:**
- **Vascular:**
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
- Carotid artery stenting
- **Gynecology:**
- Laparoscopic assisted surgical procedures
- **General Surgery:**
- Appendectomy and Cholecystectomy
- **Orthopedic:**
- Spinal Fusion and Total joint replacement
- **Robotics:**
- Experience with Da Vinci Surgical Systems
**Work Setting and Patient Care:**
- Fast-paced environment with a daily census of 40 cases
- Work in a 16-room OR with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Interdisciplinary support from various departments including respiratory services and pharmacy
**Scheduling Details:**
- Self-scheduling with a rotation of 1-2 weekends every 6 weeks
- On-call requirements: minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week period
