Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Modified self-scheduling with varied shift start times available (7, 10, 11, 12, 1, 3)
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
• Holiday requirement: typically 2 of the 5 holidays (including holiday eves)
• Must have at least two years of ER experience with Level I and II trauma experience accumulated in the past two years
• Epic EMR proficiency required - must have used within last 5 years
• Patient ratios: 1:5 medical patients, 1:6 for fast track
• Treat approximately 200 patients per day in a 52-bed emergency department with 4 trauma bays
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Must be able to read own telemetry monitoring
• Floating requirements include shared schedule with Foothills (15-minute drive to freestanding ER)
• Handle all emergency needs including ICU drips for hold patients
• Work with dedicated CT and X-ray in ER, transport team available
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Orientation includes one NEO, one day clinical/EPIC training, one day on the floor
• 100-mile radius rule applies
• BSN not required
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a Level 3 trauma center that functions like a Level 1 facility, featuring a comprehensive 52-bed emergency department with 4 dedicated trauma bays. The facility is equipped with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities, advanced respiratory therapy equipment including Glidescope and Hamilton/Phillips vents, and maintains 24/7 security presence. The emergency department includes 6 fast track beds, quick look triage areas, and dedicated CT and X-ray services, providing comprehensive emergency care for all types of medical emergencies.
