Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be competent in arterial lines
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips
• Floating required to MedSurg or ICU for PCU acuity patients
• Navy blue scrub color required
• One day of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% score or face contract termination
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
• Care for adult patients with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer, vascular, sepsis, respiratory, stroke, post-stent, and renal failure diagnoses
• Work with overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners
• Use EPIC charting system
• 30-minute response time required when called back from on-call status

This healthcare facility operates a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit with an average daily census of 24 patients. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center providing acute care services with a focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and medication communication.
