Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity level
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation
• Float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Guaranteed hours with possible cancellation of one shift per 2 weeks
• 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required
• Cardiovascular and pediatric experience required
• VAD experience highly preferred
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: PALS, BLS (AHA only)
• Preferred certification: ACLS (AHA only)
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients with congenital heart disease of all ages
• Provide complex cardiac care including ECMO, CRRT, VAD support
• VAD training required upon arrival to unit
• Work with special equipment including Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, Impella devices
• All RTO must be provided at time of submission

This Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital is a 820-bed teaching facility featuring a 29-bed Gold Beacon Award-winning Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit. The facility serves as the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina and has been voted #4 in US News report and #1 in the nation for outcomes. The unit maintains an average daily census of 26 patients and provides comprehensive cardiac care including heart transplants, cardiac catheterization, and complex supportive therapies with full interdisciplinary support services.
