Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 (must be comfortable with up to 1:7 ratio)
• Work on 30-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• Charge nurse role includes patient assignment responsibilities
• Work with PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) on the unit
• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results
• Use intermittent BIPAP equipment (no ventilators)
• Telemetry monitoring watched remotely by monitor techs
• Float as needed based on census (external travelers float first)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN degree not required
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license within 50-mile radius
• Any licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission
• 2-shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract
