Opportunity:
RN for Step-Down ICU and ICU units
Job Details:
• Must have strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Must be willing to float between ICU and Step-Down ICU units
• Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
• Current Illinois license required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies
• Document patient care according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians
• Provide patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments
• Apply critical thinking for patient safety and experience, escalating issues through appropriate chain of command
• Quick start position available
