Opportunity:
Department: MedSurg Oncology | RN
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement and standby for low census required
• 32-bed unit with nurse to patient ratios of 4-6:1 on nights
• 2 years of nursing experience required with medical/surgical experience mandatory
• Must be competent with chest tubes, central lines, and heparin drips
• Required certifications: BLS (ONS, CHPN, and OCN preferred)
• Floating requirements to Heart Center, General Medicine, Post-Surgical, and Ortho-Neuro
• Two 12-hour orientation shifts required
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation during first work week
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling available
• Work with medical oncology patients performing general assessments, IV starts, portacath access, and medication administration
• Chemo experience may be required depending on specific assignment needs
• Use EPIC charting system
• Scrubs required in any color, natural hair colors only, no visible tattoos above shoulders, only nose stud facial piercings allowed
• 50-mile radius restriction for local candidates
• Non-Oregon licensed RNs eligible for 90-day temporary license

This healthcare organization operates as a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility features a 32-bed medical/surgical oncology unit with dedicated support staff including CNAs and charge nurses. The organization maintains modern equipment including CPAP and high flow respiratory therapy devices, and utilizes EPIC electronic health records for patient care documentation.
