Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - Neonatal ICU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Minimum 3 years exclusive NICU experience in level 3 NICU or higher required
• Must be ventilator trained
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Nevada Registered Nurse license required prior to hire
• May be required to float to other departments based on competency level
• Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
• Provide optimal patient care using nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Meet age-specific competency standards and demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial needs awareness
• Facility may call off shifts with 48 hours notice for low census without penalty

This major medical center serves as the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. The facility is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City and features the region's only children's hospital, leading robotic surgery institute, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The medical center offers state-of-the-art facilities and technologies including the first accredited heart failure center in northern Nevada, the region's first Institute for Neurosciences, and advanced imaging capabilities with low-dose CT, Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, PET/CT scanner, and 3T MRI technologies.
