Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Job Details:
• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services
• Provide care for all patient populations including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Act as a patient advocate and maintain surgical standards of nursing practice
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy
• Assess and reassess pain utilizing appropriate pain management techniques
• Maintain skills in setting priorities and organizing workload effectively
• Handle changes in assignment and integrate multiple assignments with multilevel personnel
• Maintain thorough knowledge of sterile technique
• Collaborate with healthcare team including RN, LPN, NA, physicians and ancillary disciplines
• Develop and implement total nursing care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans
• Participate in and implement age-specific care and interaction
• Attend departmental orientation and implement age-specific training
• Quick start position with urgent need
• Minimum 2 years of experience strictly enforced
• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license required
• BSN preferred
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail required
