Job Details:
• Must have 2 years of experience in hospital setting
• Kentucky nursing license or compact license required at submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN
• 3+ years of L&D experience required
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• 5+ years L&D experience preferred
• Work every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Patient ratios: L&D 2:1; Mother-Baby 6-8:1; NICU 1-4:1 (depending on acuity)
• Work with Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series Fetal Monitor, Monica monitor, Ranger fluid warmer
• Use Meditech Expanse and CPN (Centricity Perinatal) EMR systems
• Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, induction of labor, IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, assist with epidurals, and foley catheter procedures
• Must be a team player
• Facility provides scrubs for infant security
• Day shift staffing: 6-8 RN, 1 OBT, 1 unit clerk
• Night shift staffing: 5-8 RN, 1 OBT, 1 unit clerk

This regional medical center operates a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit with 7 L&D beds, 14 Mother-Baby beds, and a Level 2 NICU/Newborn Nursery. The facility maintains a staff of 58 healthcare professionals and provides modern equipment and technology to support maternal and neonatal care. The organization emphasizes team-based care and maintains high standards for patient safety and outcomes in their perinatal services.
