Opportunity:
Oncology Nursing Position
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with 1:6 patient ratio on a 19-bed unit with average daily census of 15
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Maximum 7 days RTO (requested time off) per contract
• Holiday work requirements based on number of holidays during assignment period
• Floating required within facility and possibly to Piedmont Augusta Summerville (3 miles away)
• No call requirements
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population with oncology and hematology diagnoses
• Handle oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to death, DNR/comfort care, and oncologic emergencies
• Work with chemo precautions, morphine drips, dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, and PCA pumps
• Access and manage ports, administer blood products and chemotherapy, provide central line care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience required, also use Pyxis and SBAR
• Required certifications: BLS, OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Full compliance required to start on time

This healthcare facility features a specialized oncology unit providing comprehensive care for patients with cancer and hematology diagnoses. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit is equipped with modern technology and specialized equipment to support oncology care, maintaining high standards for patient safety and quality care delivery.
