Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Call requirements include 1-2 nights per week and weekend call rotation approximately every 3-4 weeks
• Weekend call runs from Friday 6:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM
• Holiday call requirements with 24-hour coverage as part of 4-person team
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in 2-room cath lab with 8 cases per day on average
• One room primarily electrophysiology (EP), other room fully interventional lab
• No structural heart or open heart procedures - lesser acute interventions only
• All RNs must provide sedation for procedures
• Scrubbing experience preferred but not required
• EP experience is a plus but not required - will not work in EP room without prior experience
• Work with 3-person team for regular cases (1 RN, 2 techs) and 4-person team for STEMIs and call cases
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer through UNA (2 attempts maximum)
• Pass/fail simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
• Generally 3-day unit orientation
• Possible floating to Chandler Regional
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Hospital-supplied scrubs required
• Use Maclab equipment and limited Cerner charting system
• BSN not required
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates a specialized 2-room cardiac catheterization laboratory providing both electrophysiology and interventional cardiology services. The facility maintains 24/7 cardiologist coverage and employs a team-based approach with dedicated cath lab technicians and nursing staff. The organization focuses on cardiac interventions while referring more complex structural heart cases to other facilities, ensuring appropriate patient care levels.
