Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, time management, and telemetry interpretation skills while caring for a diverse medical patient population.
Unit Details:
• 18-Bed Med/Tele Unit
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
• PCT Support: 1:12
• Charting System: Paragon
Common Diagnoses:
• CHF
• Diabetes
• Pneumonia
• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• General Medical-Surgical & Telemetry Patients
Requirements:
• Active RN License
• BLS (AHA) Required
• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Med/Surg Telemetry Experience
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Strong communication and time-management skills
Unit Support:
• Telemetry Monitor Technicians available
• Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, and Nurse Educator support
• RT support for CPAP, BiPAP, and High-Flow patients
Scheduling & Additional Details:
• 12-hour day shifts
• Scheduling managed by unit manager
• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required to all Med/Surg units
• Navy blue scrubs required
Orientation:
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Kurth Tower consists of Med/Surg Telemetry units
