Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Must have 5+ years experience and at least 1 travel assignment
• MEDITECH experience required
• Driver's license address must be listed in email submission to be considered
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, CPI
• BSN not required but nursing license must be submitted
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Caribbean Blue scrubs only
• Auto lunch deductions apply
• Floor specific orientation consists of 2 shifts
• Must complete ORT during week one - cannot roll over into following week unless approved by EC leadership
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
• Work with patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma cases
• Handle CVA center patients, some trauma, neurology, and orthopedic cases
• Charge nurse responsibilities included
• Work alongside 5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift
Facility:
This acute care facility features a busy emergency department seeing approximately 180-200 visits per day. The facility includes a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals, central monitoring technology, and 24/7 respiratory therapy services. The emergency department maintains comprehensive support services including 24/7 pharmacy coverage, security and patient sitters, and serves as a CVA center. The facility utilizes MEDITECH 6.15 charting system and maintains multiple physician and mid-level provider coverage throughout all shifts.
