Unit Info:
- Bed Size: 45 bed, 2 OR
- Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
- Patient Types:High Risk ob, antepartum, c-sections, vaginal deliveries
- Drips: magnesium, insulin, pitocin
- Scrubs: hospital provided
- Deliveries/month: 150 @ Methodist, 300-350 at Iowa Methodist
Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist
Submission Requirements
Quickly interviewing viable candidates: Phone call/text from a 405 area code
Orientation Dates: 6/22, 7/6 (6/22 will be prioritized)
HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is close, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
- Experience in Labor & Delivery [required]
- Experience in Post Partum / mother-baby care [preferred]
- High risk OB experience [required]
- Antepartum, C-section/vaginal delivery experience [required]
- No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 mos [required]
- Intermediate or Advance EFM / AWHONN certificate is accepted [required]
- EPIC emr experience [required]
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
- Work history/resume/employment history must have recent/current Labor & Delivery experience [required]
- Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Labor & Delivery) – [required]
- Nursy’s must state Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate at time of submission – [required] [document]
- Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
- Driver’s License [document] [required]
- AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS - basic life support – [required]
- AHA/American Heart Association - ACLS certificate - advance cardiac life support [required]
- NRP certificate [required]
- AWHONN certificate [document] [required]
