Opportunity:
TRAVEL - RN - L&D (705) - Wesley Birth Care Suites - 7A - 7P
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Provide labor, delivery and postpartum care in a 20 LDRP bed unit with 2 operating rooms
• Maintain patient ratios of 1-2:1 for labor patients and 3-4:1 for postpartum patients
• Work with GE fetal monitors, Monica Novii, and Alaris pumps
• Document using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Perform typical procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, NSTs, and circumcisions
• Utilize bedside shift report, communication boards, and rounding protocols
• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, IFMC or AWHONN
• Preferred experience with OR circulating, labor positioning/spinning babies, and managing OB emergencies
• Must wear burgundy/maroon scrubs
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses, RNs, surgical techs, and admissions control techs
• Support breastfeeding with dedicated lactation RN team assistance
Facility:
This healthcare facility features a specialized Birth Care Center located in a separate building designed to provide a less hospital-like birthing experience. The facility serves low-risk patients who are at least 37 weeks gestation and emphasizes 1:1 labor support with active positioning and labor management. The center maintains high patient experience scores and delivers 110-130 babies per month with a cesarean section rate averaging around 10%. The facility operates as a teaching hospital with residents and features a dedicated anesthesia team exclusively for women's services, plus 24/7 hospitalist coverage for emergencies.
