TRAVEL - RN - L&D (705) - Wesley Birth Care Suites - 7P - 7A
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 2 positions available in Labor & Delivery Birth Care Center
• Patient ratios of 1-2:1 for labor patients and 3-4:1 for postpartum patients
• Provide labor, delivery, and postpartum care for low-risk patients
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital L&D experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, IFMC or AWHONN
• Preferred experience includes OR Circulating, labor positioning/Spinning babies experience, and managing OB emergencies
• Work with typical procedures including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, NSTs, and circumcisions
• Utilize equipment including GE fetal monitors, Monica Novii, and Alaris pumps
• Document using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Must wear burgundy/maroon scrubs
• Work with 20 LDRP beds and 2 operating rooms
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 1 ST, and 1 ACT
• Perform bedside shift report, utilize communication boards, and participate in daily nurse leader rounding
Facility:
This is a specialized birth care center located in a separate building from the main hospital, designed to provide a less clinical, more comfortable birthing experience for low-risk patients. The facility serves patients who are 37 weeks gestational age and meet low-risk criteria, emphasizing 1:1 labor support and active positioning/management of labor. The center operates as a teaching hospital with residents, has a dedicated anesthesia team for women's services, and maintains a 24/7 Hospitalist for oversight and emergencies. The facility delivers 110-130 babies per month with an average cesarean section rate of 10%, and is known for high patient experience and employee engagement scores.
