Job Details:
• Work in Level II NICU at Pacific Campus (Pavilion for Women and Children)
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
• Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule
• Float required to Family Maternity Center/Postpartum (babies only)
• Guaranteed hours with possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Any color except reddish orange
• Care for neonates 22 weeks gestation and greater with conditions including prematurity, BPD, and nutritional risks
• Work with conventional ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula
• Perform ROP exams but no surgeries, ostomies, or trachs
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Washington license or compact RN license required
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 16 hours pre-start and annually
Facility:
This healthcare facility is a Level II trauma center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses. The Pacific Campus specializes in comprehensive maternity services and features a Level II NICU with 29 beds and 26 rooms, maintaining a daily census of approximately 23 patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.
