**Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg and EICU!**
**Job Description:**
- Are you ready to make a profound impact on patient care? Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse and provide exceptional nursing care to Med/Surg and EICU patients!
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize the nursing process to offer personalized care tailored to each patient's needs and situation.
- Maintain a strong understanding of disease processes, treatments, and potential complications related to diagnoses.
- Develop and document patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments and medical diagnoses.
- Respond adeptly to life-threatening situations, adhering to established protocols and nursing standards.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and treatments in a way that is easy to understand.
- Perform essential nursing procedures in accordance with departmental policies.
- Monitor patient conditions closely and communicate significant changes promptly to healthcare providers.
- Proficiently manage medication administration, including IV therapy, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Foster collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care based on patient needs.
- Create a safe environment for patients while practicing universal precautions and infection control measures.
- Ensure proper specimen handling and fulfill any additional responsibilities as needed.
- **Requirements:**
- Two-year nursing degree required; BSN preferred.
- Valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing license must be maintained.
- BLS certification required (to be obtained within 1 month of hire).
- ACLS certification required (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- PALS certification encouraged.
- **Qualifications:**
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intermediate computer proficiency is essential.
- Excellent clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong interpersonal communication and de-escalation skills.
- Continuous communication with patients, peers, and supervisors is crucial.
- **Physical Abilities:**
- Actively engage in nursing duties which may include repetitive movements and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read computer screens, detect color coding, and read fine print.
- **Work Environment:**
- Dynamic and fast-paced, with three 12-hour day shifts each week (6:30 am - 7:00 pm).
- Provide care in Med/Surg and EICU settings, embracing each challenge with skill and compassion.
- Participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage as necessary.
