Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Travel experience required - no first time travelers
• Must comply with 72 mile radius rule strictly enforced
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate or above EFM
• Follow AWHONN ratios
• Floating to post-partum as needed
• Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Scrub colors provided by hospital
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Use OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system
• Care for high risk OB to routine OB patients
• Manage antepartum patients on L&D unit
• BSN not required
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
Facility:
This acute care facility features a comprehensive labor and delivery unit with 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 operating rooms. The facility includes a 6-bed OB emergency room and handles 150-200 births per month. The organization maintains baby-friendly hospital status with in-house neonatology and OB hospitalist coverage 24/7, along with lactation consultants to assist new mothers. The facility provides 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with OR techs who assist with deliveries and perform C-sections, cerclages, and tubals on the unit.
