**Join Our Team as an RN in the Mother Baby Unit!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** RN, Mother Baby Unit (Postpartum Care)
- **Location:** 2010 Brookwood Med Ctr Dr, Bham, AL 35209
- **Shift:** 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Number of Openings:** 1
- **Weekend Requirements:** Every other Friday-Saturday
- **Required Certifications:** BLS, NRP
- **Years of Experience:** 2
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 27
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:3-4 couplets
- **Equipment:** Alaris IV pumps, Medela Breast pumps, Medela Breastmilk Warmer
- **EMR:** Cerner/EPIC (Effective 8/1/26)
**Your Role:**
- Provide exceptional postpartum care for mothers and newborns
- Conduct thorough maternal and newborn assessments
- Manage postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), hypertension (HTN), and OB sepsis

- **Must Have Skills/Experience:**
- Postpartum assessments
- Strong management skills in challenging situations
- **Preferred Skillset/Experience:**
- Postpartum couplet care (mother and newborn)

- Compassionate and family-centered caregiver
- Team player with a genuine love for mothers and babies
**Dress Code:**
- **Scrub Color:** Navy
- **Unacceptable Attire:** No fleece or t-shirts, MUST have natural nails
