Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Must have 5+ years of nursing experience and at least 1 travel assignment
• MEDITECH experience required
• Driver's license address must be within 75-mile radius and provided in submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, CPI
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• Handle approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
• Care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma cases
• Work with 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych
• Nurses perform their own lab draws and IV starts
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• Must complete ORT during first week
• Auto lunch deductions apply
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
• BSN not required

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department handling approximately 180-200 patient visits daily. The facility features a comprehensive trauma center with CVA capabilities, specialized behavioral health services with a 6-bed lockdown unit, and 24/7 respiratory therapy services. The emergency department is supported by dedicated pharmacy services, central monitoring technicians, security staff, and multiple physicians and mid-level providers around the clock to ensure comprehensive patient care.
