Job Details:
• Work 8-hour shifts with rotating schedule through 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend coverage and call voluntary
• Provide professional perioperative nursing care following AORN Standards and Recommended Practice
• Care for patients from pediatric through geriatric age population
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans for pre-operative, operative, and post-operative settings
• Ensure sterile field maintenance and proper aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures
• Monitor patient physiological changes during operative procedures and respond appropriately
• Provide patient and family education regarding surgical nursing functions
• Document patient interactions and care plan changes appropriately
• 2 years prior Operating Room experience required
• Completion of accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred
• Pennsylvania RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required with renewals every two years
• Must complete in-house 6-month Operating Room course upon hire if lacking preferred qualifications
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills required
• Must demonstrate mental and emotional tolerance when working with patients, families, and staff
