Opportunity:
ICU Float (Combination: MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.)
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Must float within Zone 3 covering a 60-mile radius from Denver City Center
• Float between four facilities: OrthoColorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Anthony North Hospital
• Must live within 60 miles of each facility listed
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two format options: scheduled at single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignment 1-2 hours before shift
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratios for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Expected to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• May float to any acuity level including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• 2 years of ICU experience required, 3+ years preferred for first-time travelers
• Epic experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
• Epic charting system
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
