Opportunity:
7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor)
Job Details:
• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend night shifts required - 2 weekends per schedule
• Must work into the permanent staff holiday schedule
• Float to any floor or stepdown unit as needed
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 for stepdown patients and 1:4-6 for floor patients
• Care for typical medical-surgical population including chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and overflow patients from various services
• Manage hospice patients including those transitioning to GIP hospice status
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor technicians
• Handle titratable drips in stepdown area and PCAs, heparin protocols on floor
• Work with 32-bed unit (12 stepdown beds, 20 floor beds)
• Utilize EPIC charting system
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
• Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• BSN not required
• Driver's license address must be outside 50-mile radius from facility

The facility maintains appropriate staffing ratios with dedicated charge nurses and house supervisors, while offering advanced telemetry monitoring and respiratory therapy support.
