Opportunity:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional/clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients.
Job Details:
• Work in cardiac/open heart unit with potential to float within same discipline across local campuses
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• 2 years of previous experience required
• Cardiac and open heart experience preferred
• At least 1 travel contract completed preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Illinois and Iowa state licenses required
• Must have experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines
• Must be competent with medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban with some titration
• EMR system: EPIC
• Must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from facility (except Madison location which accepts local with 10% rate reduction)
• Skills checklist must be completed within 1 year of submission date
• 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
Facility:
This healthcare organization operates multiple trauma centers across the region, including level 1, 2, 3, and 4 trauma facilities. The system provides comprehensive cardiac and cardiovascular services with specialized units for open heart procedures. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records and maintains high standards for patient care with interdisciplinary team approaches to treatment.
