**Join Our Dynamic Stepdown Nursing Team!**
- Are you a passionate Registered Nurse ready to take on new challenges in a vibrant stepdown unit?
- Embrace the excitement of nighttime shifts (18:30 - 07:00) while delivering exceptional patient care.
**Position Highlights:**
- **Unit:** Stepdown
- **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour
- **Patient Ratio:** 1:4
- **Charting System:** Epic (proficiency required)
- **Previous Charge Experience:** Preferred
- **Community Hospital Experience:** Preferred
- **Travel Experience:** Not required
**Certifications & Skills:**
- Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS in hand.
- Preferred skills:
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Arterial line management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line care/management
- Respiratory management (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
**Work Settings Include:**
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Neuro Stepdown
- PCU/DOU/IMC
- Genitourinary/Renal
- Gastrointestinal
- Cardiovascular
**Patient Demographics:**
- Adult and Geriatric patients with conditions such as:
- Respiratory Failure
- A-Fib with RVR
- Sepsis
- CHF
- COPD
- ETOH Withdrawal
**Staffing & Scheduling:**
- Staffing Type: Self-scheduling
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (flexible)
- Pre-Approved Time Off: None
- Orientation Hours: 12
- Daily Census: 25 patients (10 visits/day)
- Unit Capacity: 25 beds
**Interdisciplinary Support:**
- Collaborate with a dedicated team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more.
**Special Equipment:**
- Familiarity with:
- Airvo
- Bi-PAP
- Wound Vac
- TR Band
