**Job Description:**
- **Position**: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
- **Travel Experience Required**: Yes
- **Shift**: Night - 3x12-Hour (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- **Block Schedules**: No
- **Years of Experience**: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery
- **Patient Ratios**:
- Labor: 1:2
- Antepartum: 1:3
- Mother/Baby: 1:3
- **Charting System**: Epic (Required)
- **Teaching Hospital Experience**: Preferred
- **Trauma Level I Experience**: Preferred
- **Certifications**:
- ACLS
- AWHONN Advanced (Preferred)
- AWHONN Beginner (Preferred)
- AWHONN Intermediate (Preferred)
- BLS
- NRP
- **Skills**:
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy (Preferred)
- Administration of blood & blood products
- Labor and Delivery Management:
- Assist with high-risk delivery
- C-section circulation and recovery
- Neonatal Care in Delivery Room:
- APGAR score assessments
- Radiant warmers and thermoregulation
- Antepartum Care and Procedures:
- Assist with amniocentesis (Preferred)
- Triage of obstetrical patients
- Newborn Care:
- Newborn assessments and care education
- Postpartum Care and Procedures:
- Episiotomy/incisional care
- Breastfeeding support
- Pain Management:
- Pain assessment and management techniques
**Work Settings**:

- Mother/Baby Unit
**Weekend Coverage**: Every Other Weekend
**Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract**: 6 weekends (Days: Saturday & Sunday, Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
