**Join Our Team as a Med/Surg ICU Registered Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- Be part of a collaborative healthcare team that prioritizes evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrate accountability and respect for patients, families, and coworkers.
- Ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced Med/Surg ICU environment.
- Promote continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and families.
- Lead and direct support staff in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Use critical thinking skills to perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision.
- Provide care across all age-specific populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
**Job Specific Requirements:**
- Graduate from an accredited RN program; BSN is preferred.
- Hold current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Obtain current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification within three (3) months of hire.
- Acquire current ACLS certification according to Education Course Requirements policy.
- Preferred nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Exhibit a high degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness.
- Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
- Possess basic computer knowledge.
- Utilize technical and critical thinking skills to make informed nursing judgments.
- Familiarity with nursing practices in acute care settings.
**Shift Information:**
- 7AM-7PM
