**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse - Med/Surg
- **Unit:** Med/Surg 5th Floor
- **Experience Required:** 24 months nursing experience (First-time travelers welcome!)
- **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- **Patient Ratios:**
- Nights: 1:6
- Days: 1:6
- Weekends: 1:6
- **Float Requirement:** Yes, to similar units
**Certifications:**
- BLS required
- CPI preferred
**Skills:**
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line blood draw
- Peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Colostomy/Ileostomy management/care
- Feeding tube care and management
- Neurological evaluations (CVA experience preferred)
- Medications: Heparin, Insulin, PCA
**Professional Knowledge and Skills:**
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Wound Care/Wound Vac
**Work Settings:**

**Daily Census:** 32
