**Join Our Dynamic Med/Surg Team!**
- **Unit:** 5050-1106 - Med/Surg 8th Floor
- **Profession:** Registered Nurse
- **Specialty:** Medical Surgical
- **Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- **Experience Required:** Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers welcomed!
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:6
- **Block Schedules:** No
- **Float Required:** Yes
- **Orientation:** 24 hours
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide exceptional care for Medical Surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients; central monitoring tech available 24/7
- Perform essential nursing skills including IV therapy, wound care, and medication management
- Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube management preferred
**Required Certifications:**
- BLS
- NIHSS
- CPI (preferred)
**Preferred Skills:**
- Respiratory management (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Telemetry monitoring
- Pre/Post neurosurgery care
- Total joint replacement management
**Work Settings:**
- Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Genitourinary/Renal, Orthopedics
**Patient Demographics:**
- Adults and geriatrics
- Common diagnoses: Stroke and surgical patients
**Schedule Details:**
- Option for 36 or 48 hours/week
- Weekends: As needed
**Daily Census & Facility Details:**
- Average daily census of 30 patients
- 39 beds across 31 rooms
