**Job Description**
**Position Summary:**
Join our dynamic team as a Charge Nurse and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! You will lead, inspire, and collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial conditions.
- Develop patient care plans that involve patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Implement care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary members.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge, revising plans as necessary.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize information systems for improved efficiency and productivity.
- Stay updated with equipment, instrumentation, and medication knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in performance improvement and risk management initiatives.
- Provide education to patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
- Demonstrate cost-effectiveness by judicious use of supplies.
- Complete necessary training and education requirements.
- Follow personal protective equipment guidelines to ensure safety.
**Emergency Room Coverage Responsibilities:**
- Initiate assessments within 5 minutes of patient admission.
- Collect key information for accurate assessments and document findings.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions based on physician orders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- Maintain professional and empathetic interactions with a diverse patient population.
- Relay important information effectively via communication devices.
**Supervisory Responsibility:**
- Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and ward clerks as part of your leadership role.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Current Registered Nurse License in good standing with the State of Colorado.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- One year of experience as an RN is highly preferred.

- Ability to manage a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to changing conditions and patient needs.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
